If you’re a member here, you’ll definitely enjoy this show I caught today. I had tuned into the Weather Channel to check the radar and forecast, but while waiting for the local update, I flipped channels and landed on the History Channel. They were airing the start of a series called Color of War, which focuses on WWII.

This particular segment, The Soldier’s Soldier, highlighted the incredible work of engineers—the Sea Bees and the Army Corps of Engineers—who built roads, airstrips, beachheads, and more to advance the war effort. The show is packed with vintage footage of dozers, cranes, graders, rollers, excavators, and other heavy equipment. What started as a quick break turned into the full hour—I just couldn’t turn it off!

If you get a chance to watch it, this episode is definitely worth your time. In fact, the whole series seems like it’s worth checking out.
