The Lakhta Center 2 in St. Petersburg, Russia, is a proposed 703-meter (2,306 ft), 150-floor megatall skyscraper set to become the world’s second tallest building. Announced by Russian gas giant Gazprom and presented to the interdepartmental council for urban planning cooperation in St. Petersburg, this ambitious tower aims to transform the city’s skyline and enhance the public and business district around the original Lakhta Center on the coast of the Gulf of Finland.

Lakhta Center 2 will feature the highest observation deck in the world at 590 meters, and the upper exploited floor will set a new record. This tower is part of a strategic urban development initiative, combining cutting-edge architecture, engineering, and sustainable design.
